According to the European Federation of Leasing Company Associations, LEASEUROPE ranking, the leader of the Russian retail automobile leasing market, Europlan, has taken the first place among Russian companies and is 38th in Europe in volumes of automobile and self-propelled transport leasing. In 2007 Europlan contracted EUR 420 million of new business. in Its lease portfolio increase has reached 140% strongly outperforming the Europe’s average of 76%. As a result, Europlan has achieved a continental record of 2007 in its increase levels of automobile and self-propelled transport leasing portfolio: +222%.
As for automobile and self-propelled transport leasing, Europlan confirmed its leadership among Russian leasing companies, keeping 33d rank in the European rating. In 2007 the Company realized over EUR 238 million (+216%), again much exceeding European level of growth.
In the seventh annual ranking among hundreds of largest European leasing companies (this was the second rating, included Russian leasing companies) more than 200 businesses were analyzed. They operated in 28 European countries and were nominated by 46 leasing associations, uniting more than 1500 leasing companies in Europe. Their new business volume amounted to about EUR 339 million in 2007.
