An analytical review, made by the Russian association of leasing companies (member of the European federation of national leasing associations LEASEUROPE) on 3rd quarter results, has announced Europlan the largest Russian leasing company in volume of agreements, concluded in 2008 and number of its lessees. During the given period, the company concluded 13733 leases of automobiles, special vehicles and equipment with more than 6800 enterprises and entrepreneurs. An overall sum of leases reached over 16.9 billion dollars (i.e. +52,8 in comparison to the corresponding period of the previous year).
The research of Rosleasing has proved Europlan’s leading positions in car leasing for the consequent year. The company has realized 11 305 contracts in this segment, overcoming its nearest competitors by 87%. The review says that an automotive leasing share of the overall Russian leasing has increased up to 35% according to the volume of business and up to 77% according to quantity of contracys concluded.
Also, Europlan has taken the first place among all market-oriented leasing companies according the volume of own capital (second after a state-owned agroleasing company). The volume of its capital exceeded the capital of the nearest pursuer by 20.3%. Taking into consideration the volume of contracts, concluded in 2008, this factor has made Europlan the most capitalized leasing company among the largest ones in Russia.
