According to the latest research of association Rosleasing (a member of Leaseurope), in the 1st half of 2009 leasing company Europlan has concluded 2 594 contracts. It exceeded the average number of contracts in the industry by 14 times. It represents absolute record among all leasing companies operating in Russia. In addition to the first position by quantity of realized leasing contracts, Europlan has also gone up by several ranks in the rating of new business volume. The company has taken the 3d position, overcoming most lessors, operating in the bid-ticket segment leasing.
«We started to feel signs of the market’s revival – vice-president of Europlan, Alexander Mikhailov noticed – A number of lessors managed to provide information about their business activity increased from 34 in the 1-st quarter to 48 companies – in the second one. Driven by better news and inevitability of renewing old equipment and transport lessees began to return to leasing».
According to the survey made, in comparison to the 1-st quarter leasing companies’ indicators have significantly improved: the volume of leasing business has doubled and the number of realized contracts has raised by 42%. But still, Rosleasing experts say that it is too early to think that the leasing market has already come out crisis and moved into the phase of sustained growth.
