The Equipment Leasing Association (ELA)  is the largest association of leasing market participants in the U.S. The association was set up in 1961 and contains about 800 members. The site is mainly aimed at association members, but it also reports on the state of the leasing sector in the U.S. and other general materials. We recommend that you take a look at the library on this site.

Canadian Finance and Leasing Association  is the largest leasing association in Canada, with 170 members. The site publishes information on the leasing industry in Canada. It provides a list of association members and gives links to the sites of the leading Canadian operators on the leasing market.

International Finance and Leasing Association The international association as set up in 1965 and it contains 25 leasing companies – one company from each country. The association has 17 European members, five Asian members and one each from the U.S., Australia and Africa. The site publishes annual research into the activity of its members and analyzes trends in the sector.

United Association of Equipment Leasing  . The second largest leasing association in the U.S. with 400 members. The association was set up in 1975 and the site publishes quarterly leasing bulletins.

European Leasing Association LeaseEurope  The European association was set up in 1973 and includes about 30 European leasing associations, representing over 1,300 leasing companies. The site contains links to 26 European leasing associations and also publishes an annual report on changes in leasing legislation and also statistics from the European leasing market.

Bundesverband Deutscher Leasing-Gesellschaften e.V The site of the German leasing association, set up in 1972, and uniting over 120 of the main market operators. The site contains a detailed report on the leasing sector in Germany, in addition to useful statistics.

Japan Leasing Association This association was set up in 1971 and has over 360 members. The site contains a lot of information on the history of the sector and has an excellent market review and describes the principles of accounting of leasing operations and other aspects of leasing activity in the country.

British vehicle rental and leasing association  The largest association in Britain – set up in 1967 – has over 800 members. The association’s members represent 85% of the market for automobile leasing in the county and annually buy over 900,000 automobiles. The site contains statistics and a number of interesting publications.

National Vehicle Leasing Association  This association was set up in 1968 and unites companies specializing in the leasing of transport vehicles. The association also includes producers of automobiles and dealers. The site publishes a quarterly magazine Vehicle Leasing Today, which is available to everybody. This magazine is an excellent source of information on the automobile leasing market in the U.S.

Asian Leasing Association Asian Leasing Association was set up in 1982. The association has representatives from 16 countries in the Asian region, and also some international members.
